Don't let that sweet smile fool you... she is ornery as can be!
Let me tell you!
I noticed she was being awful quiet and the news was on instead of cartoons. She always changes the channel to "her show" after breakfast. So I go looking for her. I call her name and no answer. NOT GOOD!
So I start searching. NO WHERE IN THE HOUSE.
I noticed all the doors were still locked so she couldn't have gone outside. (They can't be locked without a key). Plus if she had gotten out, she would have rang the doorbell trying to get back in.
I go downstairs to where DH's aunt lives and she hadn't seen her.
I go next door to the in-laws and my MIL says she hadn't seen her either.
So now I am TOTALLY FREAKING OUT.
I don't know how many times I ran outside around the house screaming her name and listening for a response. Or running up and down two different flights of stairs screaming her name.
I opened MIL's door I don't know how many times asking her if she was SURE she hadn't seen her. (Rather demanding to know if she'd seen her.)
All during this I was dialing and redialing the phone trying to get a hold of DH...finally I called the school directly...I know I had to freak out the school nurse who answered...I was in a panic and hyperventilating by then.
As soon as I hung up the phone, Big Girl, Flannel Boy, and Lil' Monster walked through the door from visiting with their 1st grade teacher.
I screamed at them that Baby Girl was missing and start looking because I was ready to call the police.
Logic told me that there was no way that she could have gotten out of the house because of all the doors being locked. But still...
They went outside looking around...we have a big property...having about 10 acres of woods as your back yard isn't a good thing when you have a missing child!
MIL comes over asking if we found her yet. She had been searching her place too. Thankfully, Flannel Boy has the sense to search again.
Here he comes dragging Baby Girl through the door...
She had been hiding in a chair that was pushed under the kitchen table!!!
Flannel Boy thought it was funny as heck...
You see a few months ago, he did the same thing to me. Only he went to MIL's without letting me know he was home from a friend. So when I call the friend to give him a "what-for" for not being home before dark to be told that he had left HOURS ago...I was frantic...only to find him next door playing video games!
(We are putting a gate up or permenantly locking that door!)
Mind you this isn't the FIRST time she went missing. She fell asleep hiding behind baskets of clean clothes waiting for daddy to get home...
She has been ornery for a while. When she was 18 months...she threw away all of our forks.
Here are a few things she has done...She wanted to share her Easter Eggs with Duchess.
She didn't want to be on a Gluten Free diet.
She thought her sister's socks looked good on her...mismatched like hers too.
She was loving the "secret" of making presents for Christmas!
Hiding so she could see what mommy was working on in the bedroom!
Yeh, so don't let that sweet face fool you!
