DH likes his cheese. Lately he had been trying out new cheeses. So every night before bed, he will sit in his chair and eat a couple of slices from the square, or whatever you call it. This always draws the attention of the dog. Duchess isn't a "normal" dog. She likes weird things...or at least weird things for a dog. She rarely eats meat. She will bury it outside or hide it behind something rather than eat it. She also loves her fruits and vegetables. So when DH got the cheese out, she came over and sat at his feet. What makes this story even more interesting(at least for me) is the fact that DH hates...I mean HATES when an animal (or person) stares at him when he is eating. Plus, he hates to share his "stash" of goodies. So for him to give Duchess a piece of his expensive cheese is very strange.
Then Lil Monster goes over with his hand outstretched. DH laughs and blows him off. Lil Monster of course complains, " Uh, me, human. Her, dog" as he is pointing from himself to dog. DH points from dog to him and says, "Um, listens, doesn't listen."
Lil Monster "hrumps" and walks away.
It pays to listen....Good dog!
